I love blogs. I mean I really, really love reading blogs. I have always been interested in people's lives. I am that person that will tell my husband to be quiet while on a dinner date because the couple next to us is having an intriguing conversation. I love learning about my friends' backgrounds and hearing stories from my family or my in-laws that I've never heard before. A year and a half ago my life changed quite a bit when I moved away from so many friends and left working in an office so blogs have helped me keep my need to hear stories and learn about backgrounds satiated. Sad? Maybe, but I've learned that whatever keeps you happy and doesn't hurt others is wonderful. I'm not sure that my life is that interesting but I do have a lot going on right now so I want to document this time and share it with those that care.
So, what is going on in my life that I decided to document it? Good question. 17 months ago my then fiancé, now husband, and I left San Diego where we had both lived for about 10 years. That summer we moved twice (first with his parents until we found our place in the city), both of us changed jobs and in October we got married. That was a lot in a 4-month period! Well, here we are again. We are expecting our first child in March and are in the process of buying a short-sale home. We are supposed to close by the end of the year. A family with three little kids lives in this home and we were just told that the bank wants to close on December 26th making this family move out on or right before Christmas. We want this house and have been dealing with this place since August but there is no way we would be ok with making this family move over the holidays. We're not sure how this is going to go but my goodness is this short sale process messy. We are hoping to get the keys the first week in January, that would give us less than three months to move, update the house and get it ready for our baby. That's if we actually close at the end of the year. So here we go again on some adventures in a short amount of time!
Yay! I'm glad you entered the blogging world. :) It really is a great way to document things you normally wouldn't.
